Picture
The Ace of Swords Tarot card from the Universal Waite Tarot deck.
Today’s Community Tarot Card is the Ace of Swords. Take control of your (s)words – the ones you say to yourself and the ones you say to others. Your words and thoughts are one of the few things you truly control in life, so be aware of your (s)words today.

Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation, and Challenge. Before you read on, decide which offering the Ace of Swords has for you today. Please let us know in the comments what your choice was and how the answer applies to you.

About the image: The Ace of Swords Tarot card from the Universal Waite Tarot deck. Emerging from a cloud, a hand presents a naked, upraised sword. The hand is clenched around the hilt, the back towards the viewer. A golden crown dotted with red jewels surrounds the point of the sword, green branches dangle from it. The Branch on the right side has large green leaves, the other on the left has smaller green leaves and red berries. Yellow gusts of air hover above the hilt of the sword. Below the sword is a vista of barren mountains. The background of the card is the grey, overcast sky.

GIFT

You are offered the Gift of clear thinking and the ability to perceive the situation's source. You can rise above the details and see the bigger picture.

INVITATION

You are invited to use your intellect and logic to deal with the situation instead of your feelings. It's time to start developing a plan and strategy.

CHALLENGE

Being ruthlessly honest with yourself is the key to resolving the issue at hand. There is no room for self-indulgence, self-pity or excuses. You may be letting your heart rule your head, and that is the precisely wrong thing to do right now.

(Hint: the Gift is the grace that is already given us to overcome the Challenge, so if you chose the Challenge, also see the Gift.)

Today’s TarotCraft Community Card is the Ace of Wands. Spend some time today considering the meaning and purpose of your life. What steps can you take towards living your purpose?

About the image: The Ace of Wands from the Universal Waite Tarot deck. A hand extends from a cloud, grasping an upraised tree branch with green shoots sprouting from the tip and sides. Wands are traditionally considered to have "masculine" energy, so the green leaves represent starting points and beginnings, new life erupting from the phallic Wand. The cloud is grey against an overcast sky. Four fingers of the hand are curled around the Wand, palm facing forward. The thumb rests pointing up along the side of the Wand. Beneath this, a river flows through green fields, trees on its banks. In the distance, a castle is atop a green hill. In the far distance are purple mountains.

Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation and Challenge. Before you read on, decide if you want to know what Gift, Invitation or Challenge Ace of Wands has for you.  Please let us know in the comments what your choice was and how the answer applies to you.

GIFT

The Gift of the Ace of Wands is growth. Your life is about to be enlarged in some way. Your innate wisdom is available to you now.

INVITATION

The Invitation of the Ace of Wands is transformation. Embrace the moment and trust yourself. Allow the momentum of your inspiration to carry you forward.

CHALLENGE

The Challenge of the Ace of Wands is persistence. When the excitement and novelty of a new situation wane you may find it hard to keep going. Persistence is the key to success. Don’t stop now.

(Hint: the Gift is the grace that is already given us to overcome the Challenge, so if you chose the Challenge, also see the Gift.)

Today’s TarotCraft daily community card is the Ace of Cups. Cherish your friends and loved ones today. Allow the seeds of love to blossom!

About the image: Ace of Cups from the Animal Totem tarot.
A Kingfisher bird sits on the brim of a jewelled, overflowing chalice surrounded by wildflowers. Behind the chalice is a calm pond surrounded by green trees and shrubs. The sky is light blue.

Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation and Challenge. (Hint: the Gift is the grace already given us to overcome the Challenge.) Before you read on, decide if you want to know which one the Ace of Cups has for you toay.

Gift

The Gift of the Ace of Cups is that you are already open and ready to receive. Your Cup is ready to be filled, and you are free to embrace all possibilities.

Invitation

The Ace of Cups invites you to let down your walls and open your heart. You are invited to begin a new emotional journey leading to love, friendship or emotional healing.

Challenge

Open your heart. Yes, you will make yourself vulnerable and open to being hurt. Shutting down on an emotional level is a way to avoid pain, but the better alternative is to grow healthy boundaries and to work on self-acceptance and love.
