Picture
4 of Wands Tarot card from the Universal Waite Tarot deck.
Today’s Community Tarot Card is the 4 of Wands. Traditionally, this card is known as Perfected Work. A great omen to start your day! Work/life balance, stability, security and friendship are available now. Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation and Challenge.  Before you read on, decide if you want to know what Gift, Invitation, or Challenge the 4 of Wands has for you.

Image description: The image on this card shows four tall, slim tree branches standing on what looks like a stage or raised platform. There is a garland of flowers hung between two of the branches, tied on with ribbons. New growth shoots from the very tips of each branch. There is a castle in the background. In the corner of the image is the same bridge in the background of the 5 of Cups.

Two people holding up bunches of flowers are shown just beyond the edge of the stage and in front of the castle. They are centred between the two middle two wands. There is another group of figures further in the background. Yellow is the main colour featured in this card. It is the colour of both the stage and the background. The castle is gray with red tipped turrets. The figures are wearing white gowns. One has a red overlay across the gown and the other a blue one.

GIFT

The Gift of the 4 of Wands is unconditional love and acceptance. Any activities or commitments with others will bring rewards now.

INVITATION

The Invitation of the 4 of Wands is to take the hand of friendship extended to you now. Join with others for camaraderie, companionship, and, potentially, love.

CHALLENGE

The Challenge of the 4 of Wands is to reach out to others for support when it’s the last thing you feel like doing. You don’t need to endure your struggles alone.

(Hint: the Gift is the grace already within us that will help us overcome the Challenge.)

The King of Pentacles Tarot card from the Universal Waite Tarot deck.

Today's
TarotCraft Community card is the King of Pentacles. A practical and down to earth approach to collaborating with others will bring success today. Engage in some activities that captivate the physical senses.

In the TarotCraft system each card has a Gift, Invitation, and Challenge. Before you read any further, decide if you would like to know the Gift, Invitation, or Challenge that the King of Pentacles has for you today.

Image description: The King of Pentacles from the Rider-Waite deck. The King sits on a black throne decorated with four bull’s heads. In one hand they hold a golden sceptre and in the other rests on a golden pentacle. Their robe is black, embroidered with blue and decorated with bunches of purple grapes and green grape leaves. A red scarf is around their neck and they wear a golden crown with a circlet of green around it. One foot rests on a stone statue of a dog. Behind the throne is a concrete wall and behind that are castle turrets in the distance.

GIFT

The Gift of the King of Pentacles is an earthy sensuality. Now is the time to surrender to your physical senses and desires. Spend time with your beloveds, rather than spending money on them to make up for your absences or lack of focus.

INVITATION

The King of Pentacles Invites you to take necessary and practical steps to get your finances and career in order.

CHALLENGE

The Challenge of the King of Pentacles is to value people before things and relationships before money. (People who have grown up with hoarders probably understand this very well!)

They wear white and carry a spear.
Gift
The Gift of the 6 of Cups is the ability to view the situation at hand with the eyes of a child – with innocence and wonder.  Have an attitude of playfulness and hopefulness.

The Star: TarotCraft Daily Community Card 28 October 2021

Picture
The Star Tarot card from the Universal Waite Tarot deck.
Today's TarotCraft Community card is The Star. Whenever the Star appears, there is a blessing. So anything you do today will have a special blessing from the Star. Make it count!

In the sequence of the Tarot, The Star is the card that comes after The Tower. The Tower represents a period of destruction and chaos (that you, COVID?) out of which comes clarity. When The Star appears, it is the light at the end of the tunnel. This lovely card is compassion embodied and promises healing and renewal. We might even bless our Tower experience one day for the clarity it gave us, like clouds parting to show the clear blue sky. This is a “north star” moment. An opportunity to redirect yourself to whatever brings you closer to your true self.

Image description: A nude figure kneels with one foot on green grass and the other in a pond of water. They hold a red jug in each hand, pouring water on the grass as well as into the pond. A red bird rests in the branches of a tree behind them. Above the figure is a large yellow eight pointed star surrounded by seven white eight pointed stars.

Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, an Invitation and a Challenge. (Hint: the Gift is the grace that is already given us to overcome the Challenge.) Before you read on, decide if you want to know what Gift, Invitation or Challenge The Star has for you.  All will be revealed below…

GIFT

The Gift of the Star is Truth. It may be, for example, the truth of a situation or a truth about yourself that you are reluctant to face. The Star's blessing is found in embracing and accepting this truth with compassion.

INVITATION

The Invitation of the Star is an invitation to be open to opportunity. It offers a way out of dark and confusing places. You can trust the Light that guides you.

CHALLENGE

The Challenge of The Star is to find the courage in yourself to follow the Light being offered to you now. You have clarity of purpose, so now you need to take trusting steps towards that purpose.

Picture
Today’s TarotCraft community card is the 9 of Swords. Typically this card refers to depression, anxiety, and having a troubled mind. Talking with a friend, a therapist or joining a group of likeminded souls will help you to begin to heal. You don’t have to be on your own with your pain any longer, and in fact to do so will be to your detriment.

Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation and Challenge.  Before you read on, decide if you want to know which one the 9 of Swords has for you.  Please let us know in the comments what your choice was and how the answer applies to you.

Image description: A figure wearing a white nightgown sits up in bed. Hiding their face in their hands, their body language suggests despair and sadness. 9 Swords hang on the wall behind them, displayed horizontally. The lower swords appear to pierce the crown, throat, and heart chakras. The squares of the bedspread show astrological symbols.

GIFT

The Gift of the 9 of Swords is found when you reach out to connect with and be supported by your chosen family and community, or a professional helper such as a therapist.  Bringing your fears into the light of day will cause them to diminish.

INVITATION

The Invitation of the 9 of Swords is to find peace with the things you have had to let go, or have been forced to let go. Have compassion for your grief. Be gentle with yourself the way you would be with a child or friend who has experienced loss.

CHALLENGE

The Challenge of the 9 of Swords is to take steps to improve your mental health and wellbeing.

(Hint: the Gift is the grace that is already given us to overcome the Challenge, so if you chose the Challenge, also see the Gift.)

Today’s Community Tarot Card is the 2 of Wands. Decisions, decisions! Whatever you begin now will not detract from anything else in your life, so go for it. There is no downside. Each Tarot card offers us a Gift, Invitation and Challenge.  Before you read on, decide if you want to know what Gift, Invitation, or Challenge the 2 of Wands has for you.  Please let us know in the comments what your choice was and how the answer applies to you.

Image description: The 2 of Wands from the Universal Waite Tarot deck. The card shows a well-dressed figure in a tan tunic and tights, a red hat, a brown robe, and brown boots. Traditionally this character is meant to be a wealthy merchant watching their ships depart the port. They stand looking out to sea from a balcony with an air of patience. They are shown in profile, a world globe held in their right hand, close to their face. A tall staff with its base resting on the balcony wall is in their left hand. A second staff is permanently fixed to the wall behind them. Below, a calm ocean bay curves towards purple-tinged mountains on the far side. Fields dotted with trees and 2 red-roofed buildings are in the foreground.

GIFT

You can achieve anything right now. You have an opportunity to make your mark on the world.

INVITATION

You are invited to assert your personal power. Go after the things you truly want with confidence and passion.

CHALLENGE

The risk here is being foolhardy and trusting to fate or destiny rather than making a plan and working the plan. Be careful that confidence doesn’t become arrogance
