Mystic Faerie Tarot

I love decks drawn in an art-nouveau style and the new Mystic Faerie Tarot falls into this category. The artist is Linda Ravenscroft and the author is Barbara Moore, well known in Tarot circles.
I like this deck because it moves away from the traditional Rider-Waite symbolism (not that there’s anything wrong with that). I really believe the cards are meant to be triggers for the sub-conscious and not necessarily ‘read’ and non-RW decks can do this beautifully.
If you are used to using a RW deck, I strongly recommend changing things up and using a non-RW deck to keep you on your toes - it’s easy to get into a rut with regard to the meanings of the cards and how you read, so it’s good to change that up now and then and throw something different into the mix.
The other thing to remember is that you don’t have to use just one deck in a reading. Mix two or more decks together, use the majors from one deck and the minors from another. Try something new and see how your readings respond.
